What is coaching?

Coaching aims to provide a safe, nonjudgemental space for students to reflect, build resilience and alignment to the goals they want to reach. Coaching holds space for breakthroughs, setbacks, clarity and every step in the process in between.

Our duty is to keep you focused on your plan to success, with your well-being in mind. We provide this through deep listening and presence, coupled with empowering questions for forward momentum. We understand that the journey is in the transformation.

Therapy works with trauma and wounding with a focus on the past in response to the impact of those experiences. Coaching builds future skills for growth, focusing on the ‘how’ to achieve goals and ambitions. Coaching is not therapy, but it does offer something powerful in transformation and empowerment.

If you have experienced emotional distress or trauma, therapy is essential for healing and overall emotional health and mental wellbeing. Choose coaching when you are performance focused, skill building or trying to execute towards a plan or goal for support and assistance in its accomplishment.

At Soul Centred coaching, we believe that each person is a tapestry woven from their experiences, beliefs and aspirations. Our coaching sessions are designed to honour this complexity, whilst recognizing that true growth comes from nurturing the entire individual – mind, body and spirit. A full coaching contract recommends 10 sessions over a 3-month period to meaningfully achieve a goal.

The first session is used to scope out the coaching agreement; agree on goals, timelines and the way forward for support over this period. Thereafter we work with the methodology of a session each week for 2 weeks, a break, a session, a break, repeated in this pattern until the 9 remaining sessions are completed. Think 2-0-1-0 or 1-1-0-1-0 repeated until contracted sessions conclude.

Yes, a minimum of 4 sessions is required due to the nature of working to achieve a goal over a certain period.

A full session runs for 50mins.
